Started because Newcastle businesses weren't getting value from their IT provider.
DATANEXT was formed by two engineers who kept hearing the same complaint. We decided not to be a “please just make it work” IT company, and to set clear, documented paths for our clients' IT instead.
Who you're dealing with
A small team of senior engineers, not a call centre
Our founders bring decades of systems integration, managed services and telecommunications experience between them, and the rest of the team is hired and trained to the same standard. We invest in certifications because it shows up directly in the work: better-designed systems cost less to support over their life.
We've designed, built and now run our own cloud platform, Next Cloud, on Australian infrastructure. We maintain inductions at the major datacentres in Newcastle, Sydney and Perth, and we partner with Uniscope Communications for carriage so we can see your data links end to end.
What we're not: a reseller with a support desk attached. We'll recommend whatever fits — including telling you when you don't need us.

Most of our clients have somewhere between five and a couple of hundred staff: manufacturing and industrial, trades and construction, warehousing and logistics, health and allied health, professional services and not-for-profits. Several run across multiple sites.
What they have in common is that downtime costs real money and they'd rather pay a senior engineer by the hour than carry a full-time IT hire — or a contract they don't use.
